Former Flash Director Rick Famuyiwa Was Originally Eyed for Bumblebee

Although the Transformers movies are very inconsistent with quality, that hasn’t stopped Paramount from planning a Bumblebee Spin-Off Film. The studio recently found a director in Travis Knight but he wasn’t the only director being considered.

Quite a few directors were being considered, including; Jaume Collet-Sera (The Shallows), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Seth Gordon (Baywatch), and Aaron and Adam Nee (The Last Romantic).

It is very interesting to see that the studio was eyeing Rick Famuyiwa, the man who directed the well received film “Dope.”

Dope (2015)

He recently left the “The Flash” so it seems that studios are eager to lock him down for a big budget film. As for the other directors on the list, I think the director they ended up choosing will get the job done. But who knows, this is Transformers we’re talking about. The track record doesn’t give us much promise.

Let me know what you guys think of this news and whether or not you are excited for the Bumblebee film. – Marcos Melendez
