Marvel started production on Black Panther early this year and we now have an update on the status. Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, seemingly confirms that production has ended on the highly anticipated comic book film.
This announcement comes after some behind-the-scenes footage of the film was recently shown to some press that were invited to Marvel’s offices. The film, directed by Ryan Coogler, is one of the most anticipated films for the MCU since the character’s debut in Captain America: Civil War. Since production just ended, I expect a trailer will be coming out during San Diego Comic Con and will be released to the public.
Black Panther set to release February 16, 2018.
Black Panther – follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
