Production on the final episodes of this season of Supergirl is underway. On set footage gives us a good look at Mark Gibbon as General Zod, also Tyler Hoechlin returns as the man of steel.

Thanks to @ThemysciraBound, we have our first look at Superman’s iconic villian, General Zod. The footage has Zod exclaiming “You actually care for these Earth people?” It’s not clear who he’s talking to but one can assume it’s either Superman or Supergirl.

Set pictures gives us a  loser look at Zod’s costume.

Set photos of Tyler Hoechlin returning as Superman have surfaced as well.

Supergirl has been having problems with ratings recently so I think Superman returning with the introduction of General Zod may boost those ratings. As of right now, I think this is a way to bring more excitement to the show and not necessarily have a better story but we’ll see.
