It appears as if the King of Atlantis is all ready to begin production for his first feature-length film. ‘Aquaman’ begins filming this week at Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia.
The news comes via an article in Courier Mail that discusses the push for films to be filmed in Australia using a tax rebate incentive. Studios including Marvel have started production of films in Australia.
James Wan is attached to direct ‘Aquaman’ and Jason Momoa is of course set to star as the titular character after his cameo appearance in ‘Batman v. Superman’. We’ll get our first major look at him in the upcoming ‘Justice League’ and if the last trailer was any indication he’s going to have a pretty witty personality. –Jackson Hayes
