If we do get a sequel to 2016’s Power Rangers it looks like we might already know the sequel’s villain. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Director Dean Israelite talked with them to discuss Lord Zedd being in the sequel.

“Well Lord Zedd is the obvious choice, I think, in a good way. Ya know, there was a time when we were talking about Lord Zedd being in this movie. And it just felt like we didn’t have the real estate for it and I didn’t want to dilute our villains. So we kind of went all in on Rita. And so I think definitely it would all expanding into the next volume I definitely think have to feature Lord Zedd. I mean that’s not set in stone but I think that’s the obvious, sort of, next step to it.”

The first movie featured Rita Repulsa as the main villain with Goldar as a side villain. While Rita was gone at the end of the movie it doesn’t mean she couldn’t return to team up with Lord Zedd like in the show. Would you like to see Lord Zedd as the villain or another villain? – Johnathan Brin
