Deadpool 2 is well underway filming in Vancouver currently, and we’re now getting set photos of the title hero in action. The photos show Ryan Reynolds in partial super-suit and partial makeup as he literally belly-flops into a children’s birthday party set. Why he’s jumping into some poor kid’s special day is unknown, but it’s certainly a Deadpool thing to do.

He’s wearing the iconic Deadpool mask, but for the most part has on normal clothes. The only exposed part of his body is his hands, which are notably covered in the grotesque makeup of Deadpool’s wrinkly, cancerous skin. It’s easy to see when he’s casually walking around with the little kids on set, all of whom are too young to see the movie they’ll be appearing in.

Then to round it all out, there’s a few of Ryan Reynolds without the Deadpool mask on, so you can bask in his glorious face.

Deadpool 2 will be directed by David Leitch and will release in 2018.
