Marvel films are known for action and that is sure to be heightened when ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ hits theaters. Unfortunately, it appears that a stunt got the better of Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner confirmed that he “broke his arms” during a stunt for the newest ‘Avengers’ film.
Renner spoke about his accident during a press conference at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival:
“That’s how it goes.”
“It’s part of the job.”
Renner also spoke about how it will effect him going forward:
“I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an effect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing.”
“I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster.”
The profession of acting is one that is overlooked when it comes to danger. People love to watch big action scenes, fights and explosions at the movie theater but what most don’t think about is the fact that people are actually doing a lot of the amazing things they’re watching.
Although, Renner is no slouch when it comes to stunts. He starred in films like ‘The Hurt Locker’, ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ and all of his appearances as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, none of which were lacking in the action department.
We all hope Mr. Renner makes a quick and speedy recovery! I know we’re all excited to see him appear in ‘Infinity War’ and more movies going forward. –Jackson Hayes
