Concept Art Reveals New Look At Adam Warlock’s Cocoon in ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2’

It has been about almost three months now since the smash hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 hit theaters, and since it teased the appearance of a beloved comic character, Adam Warlock. If you stuck around for the end of Guardians (and let’s be honest you know you did) you would have seen Ayesha, the leader of the Sovereign empire played by Elizabeth Debicki, reveal her new creation a being, “more powerful, more beautiful and more capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy” whom she has named Adam.

Introduced in 1967, Adam Warlock has long been a key figure in the Marvel universe. He has often had close ties to the Infinity Gauntlet’s soul gem and has run afoul of Thanos many a time. And it is this very character teased to be growing in Ayesha’s birthing pod.

In the film’s end-credit scene the audience was treated to a brief camera pan to a new Sovereign birthing pod housing Adam Warlock. But thanks to concept artist Ian Joyner, we have a new piece of concept art featuring Adam Warlock’s pod. You can check out the new art from Joyner down below. – Jacob Campbell
