Actor David Harbour says that the new movie will not be a reboot. So that means the new movie will bring a different perspective to how we will see the new Hellboy. Harbour talks about how the movie could potentially start as:
According to comicbook.com:
“There is something of [his origin], but it’s not really an origin story movie. We kind of pick up the movie like we’re running and gunning. We do have a little bit of stuff where we show stuff, but it really is a story and you just drop in with this guy.”
Hellboy fans, sounds like we will see a more experienced character that has dealt with many battles and knows how to survive in this type of world that he lives in. It could be the adventure that would be worth seeing on the big screen considering that Hellboy has so much depth to his story that is yet to be explored.
Actor Ron Pearlman has already done a good job of portraying the character back in 2004 and 2008, in fact, I wouldn’t have minded him returning as Hellboy. Harbour being cast to portray a different type of Hellboy just brings excitement because maybe we could get the another really cool take of the character that we have not seen before.
‘Hellboy’ will star David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm, Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan. There has been no release date for this movie yet.
What do you think? Will Harbour match up to what Ron Pearlman brought as the original Hellboy? Let @SuperBroMovies know what you think!
