The newest adaptation of Stephen King’s It comes out next month, and it looks scary as hell. I’m not a huge scary movie fan, but I knew this would be a must see when I saw the first trailer. The first wave of critics have seen the movie, and they were able to share their thoughts on Twitter. The reactions are almost unanimously positive with the viewers saying the movie is scary but funny at the same time.
Those are all amazing reactions to the movie, and the only negative statement just says they used too much CGI. I was very surprised to see that many are calling the movie funny. I didn’t get a humorous vibe from the trailers at all, and I don’t see how humor would be incorporated into a movie like this. However, if all these critics are saying that the comedy works, then I’m sure it works seamlessly in the movie.
All these reviews have me even more excited for It.
It releases in theaters on September 8th.
