Patty Jenkins Says To Expect A “Full-Blown” WONDER WOMAN In Sequel

After the success of ‘Wonder Woman‘, and a second film was shortly confirmed afterwards by Warner Bros. Gal Gadot is set to reprise her role in the sequel, but Patty Jenkins isn’t yet confirmed to direct. Jenkins still currently working on it though, and she has now revealed some details about how Diana Prince.

Details on the anticipated sequel are scarce, but it’s known that Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins are hard at work writing it. In a new interview, the director shed light on how Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince becomes the Wonder Woman we all know and love from the comics.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Director Patty Jenkins spills the beans on how ‘Wonder Woman‘ sets up the eventual “Full-blown” superhero.

  • “The greatest thing about making this movie was the fact that you’re really building to the Wonder Woman that we all love, but not until the end of the movie,” Jenkins reflects. “The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories.
  • “Here’s Wonder Woman, and what can she do?” Jenkins adds. “It should be a totally different movie, but a grand and now full-blown Wonder Woman in the world.”

Her talking about a fully realized Wonder Woman, and how the next film will be a totally different one because of it, makes me think it may be set in present time. It’s been heavily rumored that it’s going to be another period piece, set in the Cold War, but it hasn’t been confirmed.

Patty Jenkins hasn’t been confirmed yet but we should expect an announcement soon of her return.
