Rocky himself Sylvester Stallone has been hard at work with ‘Creed 2′, and it seems like we’ll be seeing all of that hard work in theaters has he’s announced the production start date for the highly anticipated sequel.
‘Creed‘, helmed by ‘Black Panther‘ director Ryan Coogler, was a huge hit when it first hit theaters. It was a big revamp for the Rocky franchise, focusing on Apollo Creed’s son Adonis played by Michael B. Jordan with Rocky acting as a mentor. A sequel has been in the works for a while, but Ryan Coogler was busy with the MCU film so it left Stallone having to develop it. Stallone recently announced he had finished the 120 page script for the film, and now has gone to Instagram to tease the start date for the sequel.
Check out the post below.
I’m very excited of the prospect with returning to the franchise, especially if Coogler returns to direct. I think it’s certainly possible, as it’s not clear when next year it would go into production. He’ll be busy early one with ‘Black Panther‘ but he could get to work right afterwards, it’ll tough though so we’ll have to see.
