Well, am I sultan or am I sultan?

From the critically and acclaimed ‘Homeland,’ Navid Negahban has snagged the role of The Sultan, the bumbling and beloved ruler of Agrabah and father of Jasmine, in the highly anticipated live-action remake of ‘Aladdin.’

Navid Negahban has been very active since beginning his acting career almost 17 years ago. He joins the already stellar cast of Will Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar as Hakim.

The film comes on the heels of Disney’s recent live-action remake resurgence and is sure to be just as, if not more, successful as 2017’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and 2016’s ‘The Jungle Book.’

Aladdin does not have a release date yet and will be directed by Guy Ritchie (‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E., ‘Sherlock Holmes’).
