With this year’s Call of Duty going back to the basic by going back to World War 2 it looks like next year game could be going into modern times. In a recent job posting by Treyarch Studios in their requirements for a System Designer it stated they would like for someone that has knowledge of modern era weapons and military technology.
Treyarch’s last Call of Duty was Black Ops 3 was set in 2065, 40 years after the events in Black Ops 2. With this year’s COD going back to old school game play and setting it looks like the other studios that develop COD games are also ditching the futuristic shooter theme. Last year’s Call of Duty Infinite Warfare while did generally good with critics failed to reach sales numbers Activison was hoping for. Do you think Call of Duty going back to modern times for next year’s game will be a great idea? Tweet us @SBAracdeCorner – Johnathan Brin
