With the fall season comes the feverish anticipation of the newest season of some of the most exciting shows on television. This year will mark the fourth season of ‘The Flash’ and it is bound to include some of their trademark twists and turns that fans have become accustomed to.
The end of season 3 saw Barry Allen and the gang finally thwarting the threat of Savitar and Barry making the selfless decision to sacrifice himself to the Speed Force to bring balance back to the world.
The CW has released the first wave of promotions, including the first trailer, and the first set of photos has revealed a new villain, Caitlin Snow’s new day job, and the return of Barry Allen!
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Grant Gustin gave a glimpse of his charcter’s transformation between the end of season three and the beginning of season 4. “He’s going to have kind of an awakening when he comes out. He’s going to have some knowledge that he probably doesn’t even quite understand yet. He’ll also be little scrambled; He won’t really be himself the first time we see him.”

The Flash returns with new episodes starting October 10 at 8:00pm on The CW.
“Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.”
