‘Stranger Things’ Creators Confirm Season 3 in Development

Yesterday in the early morning, we finally got Stranger Things 2. We also got an announcement that season 3 is in development. We do know that the Duffer Brothers want to make four or five seasons of Stranger Things. This would make sense as we could dive deeper into the mythology of it all.

Talking with Deadline, Ross Duffer explained the difficulty of the multiple storylines and speaks on season three’s development:

“The hardest thing with this story is that we were tracking these multiple storylines and having them sort of build about at the same pace as to crescendo at the same time. It’s always the hardest part as we move into writing.

Like we’re starting on Season 3 now, it’s always the most difficult thing just to get those to build simultaneously. It’s always a challenge, and so we’re still learning. I mean, we’re trying to do this eight-hour, nine-hour movie so to get that pacing just right, you know, it’s always hard.”

This is true, it is difficult to pull multiple storylines together. They proved to be the guys to do it with the first two seasons though. As I said earlier, they want to release four or five seasons. The Duffer Brothers have said that we can expect season 3 on a fifteen month timetable as we did season 2. We most likely will get it in January of 2019. Until then, you can now enjoy season 2 on Netflix. You can also read our reviews on episodes 1-34-6, and 7-9 while you’re at it! Thank you guys for reading! Are you excited that season 3 is in development? Do you wanna dive deeper into the Upside Down? Let us know in the comments!

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
