The creator of ABC’s “Undateable” and writer of films such as “Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” and “Due Date” is being handed the reins to the upcoming DC film about the enigmatic antihero, Black Adam.
Adam Sztykiel has entered into final negotiations to pen the film. This news comes in a long line of news stemming from the casting of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson signing on to play the role.
With no director yet to sign on to helm as of this writing, the film will be produced by New Line, DC Entertainment. and The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions.
Along with this news was the announcement that Zachary Levi has signed on to play Shazam, who is the arch-nemesis of Black Adam.
A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.
Black Adam will be released on April 5, 2019.
