The DS has had a very lengthy run with several iterations over the years, but it seemed like after the Switch came out, Nintendo would be done making handhelds. It looks like it’s not done yet, though. Nintendo has revealed a new variation of the 2DS for Black Friday.
The new “Link Green” 2DS can be seen below:
It features a prominent green and brown color with yellow buttons. It’s a little disappointing they didn’t make this for the New Nintendo 2DS XL because I’ve never been a fan of the non foldable design, but with Ocarina of Time 3D pre installed and a low price of just $79.99, it’s going to be hard to resist picking this up on Black Friday.
Nintendo also revealed a Breath of the Wild expansion: The Explorer’s Edition.
The Expanded Edition is “a bundle that includes the critically acclaimed and award-winning Nintendo Switch game, a 100-page explorer’s guide and a two-sided map at a suggested retail price of $59.99. The included guide and map are great for people new to the series, as well as people who haven’t yet had the opportunity to dive into the massive adventure.”
The Expanded Edition doesn’t include the DLC, but you can still purchase that for the small price of $20.
