‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is well on its way to becoming one of Marvel’s biggest box office successes of all time. Current projections have it making close to $400 million in its first weekend.
The film already openly internationally with $109 million last weekend and this week it ill open in the United States, Canada, China, Japan, Germany, Russia, and Mexico.
All of which are some of the biggest international movie markets on the planet.
This may not come to a shock to most fans, as the third film in the Thor franchise is among the highest scored MCU films on Rotten Tomatoes, however, this means ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ will surpass its predecessors by a mile as 2011’s ‘Thor’ only grossed about $449 million worldwide.
