The wild ride of Fast and Furious feuds has shifted into high gear.
For the unaware, Fast and Furious actors Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne Johnson have been using Instagram to duke it out in an argument over the future of the franchise. Ever since Fast 9 was delayed to make room for a spin-off starring Dwayne Johnson‘s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, Tyrese has very publicly taken the position that Johnson is being selfish and placing himself over the good of the franchise as a whole. Johnson, meanwhile, is firing on all cylinders, saying the movie will be exciting for fans and welcoming other F&F stars to join the project as well.
Well it sounds like Tyrese has had enough. He pulled his trump card in his latest Instagram post, saying he won’t be returning for the Fast 9 if Johnson does as well.
The post also indicates Tyrese still stands with Vin Diesel, who actually tried to deescalate the conflict after reportedly not getting along with the Rock himself on the set of the last movie. It’s hard to believe any actor would want to leave such a high-grossing franchise over such a petty reason. But whether or not Tyrese actually drops out of the next installment is yet to be seen.
