With ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ now in theaters, the audience will see the beginning of a new story arc for Bruce Banner and the Hulk. The arc will continue into ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’.
In an interview with BBC, ‘Ragnarok’ star, Mark Ruffalo, was asked if he wanted to do solo Hulk film. Ruffalo gave a little laugh and said:
“No! Are you kidding me? I get to have the best time [working with Marvel]!”
For those of you who don’t know, Marvel Studios currently don’t own the rights to make Hulk standalone movie. In order for that to happen, they would have to work together with Universal Pictures.
Ruffalo shamed on Universal for not getting in on the action. He will be working around Universal with Marvel to get what he wants:
“So I will get a standalone Hulk movie, and we will work around Universal, and we’ll do it in three movies instead of one movie. So take that, Universal. Now what are you gonna do? You could’ve had a piece of this, but Nooooo.”
I am sure everyone is thankful and appreciative of Marvel for the ability to find the loophole to work around Universal’s contract and seeing Hulk belonging in the Marvel Cinematic Universe rightfully.
