Filming has finished on Freeform’s upcoming Marvel show, Cloak and Dagger.
The show, which is set to debut in winter of 2018, has just officially wrapped. Actor J.D. Evermore, who plays Detective Conners, posted photos to his Instagram of the final days of shooting.
With filming out of the way, we can likely expect more promotion and trailers in the coming months building to the show’s premiere. It’s worth noting that not all network shows finish filming their entire season before the premiere date. Freeform has previously employed a model for some shows where the entire season is available online after the season premiere, with new episodes still airing weekly on television. It could be that’s their plan with Cloak and Dagger as well, or maybe the shorter season of ten episodes just meant the schedule wasn’t so lengthy.
Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger will premiere in 2018.
The live-action interracial romance follows the duo, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy (Olivia Holt) can emit light daggers and Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.
