STAN LEE May Have Confirmed A BLACK WIDOW Solo Movie

The MCU has had plenty of strong female characters, but none of them have had the chance to shine in their own outing. 17 movies in and still no female solo movie. Ant Man and the Wasp will be the first MCU movie with a female lead, and Evangeline Lilly will still be sharing the spotlight with Paul Rudd. Fans have been asking for a Black Widow solo movie for a long time since she is arguably the strongest female character in the MCU, and Stan Lee may have just confirmed that that movie is in the works.

According to a fan at a Stan Lee panel at Supanova in Brisbane, he revealed that a Black Widow movie is happening.

“Someone just asked him if he’d like to see a Black Widow movie. His assistant replied with ‘Funny you should ask that’ and then Stan said that it’s happening.”

While this person could easily be lying about Stan’s comments, they did provide photo evidence that they were present at the panel.

Stan Lee was also the first one to reveal a Black Panther movie was in the works before it was officially confirmed a couple years ago. Could he be right this time? I’m going to assume so considering he still has a tight knit relationship with Marvel.

Thor Ragnarök director, Taika Waititi, also revealed not too long ago that he would love to make a Black Widow movie, so perhaps he could be the one behind it.

This should come as great news to Marvel fans and especially Black Widow fans. She has had five MCU appearances, so it’s about time she get’s her own chance to shine. If true, we probably won’t get this movie until the 2020s considering Marvel has all their movies planned out until then.
