Gal Gadot is reportedly holding off on signing on for ‘Wonder Woman 2’ due to Brett Ratner’s involvement in the film. A source told Page Six that Gadot is taking a strong stance against sexual harrasment in Hollywood and doesn’t wan’t the hit franchise that is ‘Wonder Woman’ to benefit a man who has been accused of sexual misconduct. It was only a couple of weeks ago when Gadot posted this on her Instagram, where she clearly takes a stance against bullying and sexual harassment:

Gadot had also backed out of a dinner a month ago in which she was set to present Ratner with an award. Ratner’s company RatPac-Dune Entertainment was the company that helped produce ‘Wonder Woman’ as part of its co-financing deal with Warner Bros. A Warner Bros Insider told Page Six that:

“Brett made a lot of money from the success of ‘Wonder Woman,’ thanks to his company having helped finance the first movie. Now Gadot is saying she won’t sign for the sequel unless Warner Bros. buys Brett out [of his financing deal] and gets rid of him.”

The source added as well that:

“She’s tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet. She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops. They can’t have a movie rooted in women’s empowerment being part-financed by a man accused of sexual misconduct against women.”

Warner Bros. had announced earlier this week that it was cutting ties with Ratner, due to multiple sexual harassment allegations against him. Ratner continues to deny the allegations against him at this time.

Hollywood, it’s time to change. I’m glad to see such a well renowned actress like Gal Gadot take such a huge stance against sexual harassment in what is considered the role of a lifetime. I hope that this will end, and that people stop supporting the individuals that commit such atrocities. Don’t just read up about such things, speak up. Be a part of the solution to create a better place for everyone. Stop sexual harassment or any harassment of any kind, enough is enough.
