‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ Trailer Breakdown

“There was an idea. To bring together a group of remarkable people. To see if we could become something more. So when they needed us, we could fight the battles. That they never could.”

Well, it seems the time we have all been waiting for has finally come, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer has finally been released. And it does not disappoint.

The trailer starts off with the above quote. The mission statement for the Avengers Initiative which started it all. We hear Nick Fury, Tony Stark, The Vision, Thor, and Black Widow each recite part of the quote as we see glimpses of where they are.

We see Tony kneeling down and it appears he is holding someones hand in his and is crying. We don’t see who it is as they are off-screen but based on the stakes of this film it can’t be good. However, he could also just be holding his own hand.

We then move to the Sanctum Sanctorum where we find Doctor Strange and Wong staring over the body of Bruce Banner who has just fallen through the roof.

Next, is a very interesting scene which features Scarlet Witch and a human Vision holding one another in a tender embrace.

We then see Thor standing alone in what appears to be some kind of space ship followed by Bruce Banner and Black Widow together in what appears to be Wakanda.

After the Marvel Studios intro plays through we cut to Doctor Strange, Wong, Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner in the Sanctum Sanctorum looking outside as we see citizens run though the streets from some unseen danger. All the while Thanos can be heard speaking in the background.

Then, the scene cuts to Peter Parker on a bus where his Spidey Sense is triggered and he looks out the window to see some unknown machine hovering over NYC.

The scene cuts to Loki who is seen walking over what appeas to be the bodies of either unconscious or dead Asgaridans. Loki is then seen handing the Tesseract over to an unknown indivudual.

The trailer then rapidly cuts to different scenes, of Thanos walking through some kind of portal, Spider-Man wearing his new Iron-Spider armor, Thor trying to hold some kind of mechanism together, Captain America catching a spear thrown at him by Proxima Midnight, T’Challa ordering the evacuation of Wakanda and the Hulkbuster armor landing in Wakanda.

We then see Black Panther and Captain America fighting off unknown alien beasts, in what is a full-blown battle in Wakanda.

In the next scene we see Thanos slam Spider-Man into the ground and some unknown figure slamming a spear into the mind stone located in Vision’s forehead.

Afterwards, we can see Thanos placing the space stone into the infinity gauntlet where the power stone is also visible. The mad titan is then seen fighting Iron Man who doesn’t appear to be a match for him.

unnamed (8).jpg

Then in what is one of the most epic scenes of the entire trailer we see, The Winter Soldier, Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther, Hulk, War Machine, Falcon and the entire Wakandan army running into battle against Thanos’ army.

Lastly after the Avengers logo goes up we cut to a battle worn Thor asking , “Who the hell are you guys?” at which point the scene moves to show the Guardians of the Galaxy are with the God of Thunder.

I think it is fair to say that this trailer was much worth the wait. This will be a threat unlike ay other our heroes have ever faced and surely it will be an adventure you wont want to miss. – Jacob Campbell
