Guillermo Del Toro Will Not Direct ‘Justice League Dark’

Justice League Dark has been in the works for a few years. We’ve seen multiple directors plugged in to take the helm. There have been so many rumors coming about the film.

Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Blade II, Pacific Rim: Uprising) was rumored to direct the film in 2012. During a Q&A with Reddit yesterday he was asked about the film:

Now that your schedule is open…would you still be open to directing Justice League Dark?

Guillermo Del Toro:

I am concentrating on other projects right now. Next one could be a big one or a small one. I don’t know. That’s why I am taking time off. To think and ponder…

So it seems like we are not going to get a Guillermo Del Toro directed Justice League Dark. Guillermo is currently very busy with The Shape of Water, and he’s helping develop a video game with Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding. He’s also taking a break from directing.

Justice League Dark is currently being rewritten by Gerard Johnston. Hopefully we get some good news soon in regards to the film and a director soon. The film is supposed to be very important to the DCEU. Who do you guys think should direct Justice League Dark?

We will keep you guys updated on Justice League Dark as the news comes in! Thank you guys for reading. Tweet us, share, like, comment, let us know what you think!

There’s no release date for Justice League Dark currently!
