Coming off the emotional turmoil that will be Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, fans will have a quick turnaround when the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 5th, 2019. With Avengers 4 already filming, the production of Homecoming 2 would have to begin sometime soon; we now have confirmation of when that will be.
According to Omega Underground, the sequel to Marvel’s smash hit will begin filming in June in Atlanta and it will likely conclude sometime between October and December of 2018.
The untitled Homecoming sequel will be the first MCU film released after Avengers 4, meaning it will have a heavy burden to bear. With news that the sequel to Infinity War will be a “finale” of sorts of the current MCU, we could be looking at a very different Spider-Man film than we have previously seen.
