David Harbour Says ‘Stranger Things’ Season Three Probably Will Release in 2019

As we all know, Stranger Things season 3 has been greenlit. David Harbour recently sat down with Variety to discuss season three. He talked about working with the kids on set, what’s in store for season three, and when we can expect season 3.

Unfortunately, we probably won’t be able to watch season 3 until 2019. The creators need time to work out the script and keep digging into the lore. This will mean that the kids will be a little bit older, but they will give us different projects from themselves in the meantime. The Duffer Brothers have already said they only want to do about four seasons total within the show.

When speaking directly about season 3, David Harbour said:

“I mean, one of the things that’s annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them. Like, you probably won’t get season three until sometime in 2019. But also part of the thing is, like any good thing, they need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.”

Meanwhile, Harbour is working on the Hellboy reboot. The kids are all getting involved in their own projects, and it’s a lovely thing. 2019 will be here before we know it, and we’ll have more lore from the Upside Down.
