Sebastian Stan Teases Return To Familiar IRON MAN Location in ‘AVENGERS 4’

In the past months, set photos from the filming of ‘AVENGERS 4’ have teased the possibility of going back in time to key MCU events. The pictures range from Thor sporting his ‘Avengers’ look to Tony Stark being in a similar situation to the one he was in ‘Avengers’. Today, the speculation continues, as Sebastian Stan has posted a photo on Instagram that poses new questions.

December 16th, 1991 #🤦🏻‍♂️

A post shared by Sebastian Stan (@imsebastianstan) on

The picture, as seen above, features the hall of armor that has been previously shown in the ‘IRON MAN’ solo films. The caption reads “December 16th, 1991”, a phrase seen in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. This was the date in which Tony’s parents were murdered by none other than The Winter Soldier himself. It also a fun nod to the film as the date this was posted was December 16, but what is Stan implying with this picture?

Well let’s state a obvious fact that offers context and clarity, as we know that in ‘IRON MAN 3’, all of the suits were blown up, so this picture is definitely in regards to a flashback sequence in the film (but don’t rule out that minuscule chance that Tony rebuilt it). The caption doesn’t give us any clues, but one thing is for certain, this picture is part of a bigger puzzle. A puzzle that we are slowly putting together with all of these set pictures. With all of these pictures being released and actors like Stan teasing things like this, what is next to be shown for us to dissect?

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think we’ll definitely see some time travel in ‘AVENGERS 4’? Let us know at @SuperBroMovies.
