John Cho is no stranger when it comes to the Star Trek franchise. It has recently been announced that Quentin Tarantino would helm a rated ‘R’ Star Trek movie in the future. People were shocked to hear that he would take over such a project due to his very gruesome directing style. That being said, it also piqued the interest of many as well. His fanbase was immediately intrigued by the announcement and many expressed that via Twitter.
John Cho has starred in many of the previous Star Trek movies. He recently expressed in an interview with Larry King that he was interested in participating in the project. He stated:
I don’t know. I hope so. I think he’s brilliant. … I would like to do some Quentin Tarantino dialogue with Sulu.
It hasn’t been confirmed if Cho will make an appearance in the Tarantino directed ‘Star Trek’ film but his fingers are crossed. He portrayed Hikaru Sulu in the last 3 films, slimming his odds of being in Tarantino’s, but he believes that would make it even more interesting.
Not much more is known about the film. It’s recently been announced that they found a screenwriter in Mark L. Smith, who also worked on ‘The Revenant’. Cho also said that whether or not he’s cast in the film, he’s still so glad he got to be apart of the franchise. Would you like to see John Cho appear in Tarantino’s ‘Star Trek’?
