In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker takes a brief visit to Berlin as he vlogs the events of Captain America: Civil War. Only a few shots of the city were actually shown in the movie (with more in the deleted scenes), but it look like the sequel could be returning to Germany.
Omega Underground reports that director Jon Watts will be shooting some of the sequel in Berlin, Germany again. They point out that this could be the introduction of the Foreign Gwen Stacy that has been rumored to appear in the film.
My guess is that Peter goes on a field trip in the Summer to Berlin which is where he meets Gwen Stacy. Either that, or the film shows Gwen Stacy in Germany before her arrival to America.
I wouldn’t expect the movie to take place too much in Berlin, though, seeing as it will deal with the aftermath of Avengers 4. It will most likely be shooting in Atlanta for the majority of its production again.
Omega Underground also reports that the sequel is expected to begin production on June 1st, and will wrap in September. This bodes well for its July 2019 release date.
