RIDLEY SCOTT Has Idea for a Third ‘BLADE RUNNER’ Movie

‘BLADE RUNNER 2049’ is regarded as one of the most beautifully shot movies of 2017, and rightfully so at that. It’s getting a lot of Oscar buzz and has made its way into the SBMovie Awards as well. The movie was praised by the cult following it has accumulated over the years but that still wasn’t enough. The movie did not do as well as predicted once it hit theaters.

After a disappointing box office run, it was more of a loss than a win for the studio. This could possibly cut the cord on any third movie from happening, but Ridley Scott is persistent on making one happen. Ridley has been promoting his new movie ‘All the Money in the World’ and this gave him the opportunity to speak on what he thought of ‘BLADE RUNNER’ and where it could go. When asked, he went on to say:

I hope so, I think there is another story. I’ve got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to be done for sure.

Scott is quite the storyteller, and after seeing the cinematography of ‘BLADE RUNNER 2049’, it would be super cool to see what he can build off of Denis Villeneuve’s project. He talked about how a lot of his ideas were used in Villeneuve’s movie and even criticized the runtime of the film.

The movie did profit but not nearly enough for the studio to confidently announce a third movie. What are your thoughts on Scott returning for a third ‘BLADE RUNNER’ movie? Let us know over at SuperBroMovies!
