With the release of Avengers: Infinity War slowly approaching, several cast members have officially wrapped filming for that and its currently untitled sequel. A few weeks ago, Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, playing Vision and Scarlet Witch respectively, have announced that they have finished their scenes. It is now confirmed that Karen Gillan, reprising her Nebula character from the Guardians of the Galaxy films, has wrapped filming her scenes.
She made this announcement through Instagram with a picture of her wearing an Infinity War bracelet. In the announcement, she states that it has been a year since she began working on the film. Additionally, she notes that she received the bracelet from directors Anthony and Joe Russo. The full post can be seen below:
After approximately one year of shooting, I've officially picture wrapped on Avengers Infinity War, parts 1 and 2! A monumentally inspiring experience. And thanks to the @therussobrothers our fearless directors for this badass Infinity War bracelet. Now I must wash the blue from under my fingernails. For 4 days. #nebula #avengersinfinitywar #may4th
Gillan has stated her enjoyment of working on the film several times and this recent post further conveys that. She even pokes fun at how most of her time on set is having makeup artists apply and remove the makeup required to play Nebula. So it will be interesting to see Gillan for the third time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as how Infinity War will continue Nebula’s character arc.
