In what Deadline is reporting as an ‘amicable split’ Gore Verbinski has pulled out as director of the project.  Rupert Wyatt, who left the film after changes to the filming schedule caused a clash with another project, and Doug Liman, who “wasn’t feeling it” and didn’t “connect to the script,” were both attached as director to the film at different times before Verbinski took over.
