Anthony Mackie Teases Drax and Spider-Man Will Be A Part Of The Wakanda Charge in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

During the ACE Comic-Con in Arizona last week, Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, Anthony Mackie, who plays the Falcon and Sebastian Stan, who plays the Winter Soldier, all participated in a Q&A about their latest movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Mackie teased that at least two more superheroes will be participating in the charge that takes place in Wakanda.

Drax the destroyer vol. 1

Mackie talks about what it was like filming the Wakanda charge scene at ACE Comic-Con:

“There was one day we were on set, we’re doing this one scene that’s in the trailer where we are running into battle and Sebastian’s hair is doing this (hand motions behind his head) and it does that, it does. You know all of us are on set and it’s just like 40 superheroes and I look to my right and I see Tom Holland and Dave Bautista, I see the two of them over in the corner and Tom is literally the size of Dave’s leg, right? So I don’t know what they’re talking about, but Bautista jumps up and does like a kick-punch move, like Superman was teaching him, [I was like] no you’re about to kill him, what are you doing? So I run over there to see what’s going on, then you see Tom trying to do it like that, it just that we have so many different moments like that on set where you see people just do stuff where you step out of it, you’re like a spectator. It’s a lot of fun.”

This also teases that the Guardians will have already reached Earth in time to run into and aid the Avengers in protecting the city of Wakanda and possibly the rest of Earth. With Mackie saying that there are so many moments that happen on set, this movie could be one to remember for the ages in the history of the MCU.

May cannot come soon enough, 2018 is primed to be the biggest year yet for Marvel. Black Panther is coming in out in February and from the trailers that we have seen, I cannot think of a more perfect movie to lead into Avengers: Infinity War. I think we could see some Avengers in a post credit scene that will build up to the introduction of Thanos. Then, Avengers: Infinity War in May and Ant-Man & The Wasp in July.

Below you can watch part of the Q&A that took place at ACE Comic-Con.
