It was recently announced that the Pokemon Company would be bringing Detective Pikachu to the West this March. The game will be launched exclusively on Nintendo 3DS in the U.S. and Europe.
This launch marks the first English release of the game which originally launched in Japan in the winter of 2016. The move from Nintendo makes sense as the live action Detective Pikachu movie is currently in production. The film is set to star Ryan Reynolds but sadly he will not be doing the voice for the English release of the game.
There was also another bit of Pikachu news as it was also announced that Nintendo would be releasing a super-sized Detective Pikachu amiibo. The amiibo will allow users to check out all of the games “Pika Prompts,” which are hints that help them find clues, according to The Pokémon Company.
