One of the coolest things to come out of this past summer’s D23 Expo was the news that both Rapl and Venellope would be the catalysts for bringing together a slew of characters under the Disney creative umbrella. From Iron Man to C-3P0 to EVERY DISNEY PRINCESS in existence, Ralph’s exploration into the internet from his trusty arcade is a cool idea and gives fans a real life fantasy crossover.

In 2012, Disney’s Wreck-it Ralph was nominated for Acadmey Awards and became kind of a cult favorite among Disney fans due to the bevy of cameos and mentions of famous video games characters. The sequel was officially announced in 2016 and we now have the official synopsis for the film! See below:

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2 leaves Litwoak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet – which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush.

In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet – the netizens – help navigate their way, including a website entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site ‘BuzzzTube.'”

With an all star cast featuring John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and  Taraji P. Henson the film is sure to boast the same success as its predecessor.
