From Boogie Nights to Punch-Drunk Love to There Will Be Blood, Paul Thomas Anderson is just a name most movie fans take notice of and and respect. He has been nominated for an Academy Award 6 times, 3 of his films were included in BBC’s 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century, and his auteur style of film making is often credited as inspiration for some of the most acclaimed actors and actresses of all time.
That being said: Anderson himself has stated during a Twitter Q&A that he would be interested in making a film about the famed DC superteam The Teen Titans.
This was an answer in response to a question asked by Twitter user @JCoffmanKY.
Anderson is one of the greatest directors and screenwriters of all time and his most recent work Phantom Thread, starring the great Daniel Day Lewis, has already been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
Anderson has long been a defendant of the superhero genre when other auteur directors like James Cameron have been critical of them. With characters like Raven, Starfire, and Robin in his hands, DC Films just may be able to shake the stigma of their current releases failing to hit their mark in theaters all across the world.
