Since 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter AK Agent 13 has played an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU); specifically when it relates to Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. After the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D., she joined the CIA and has been active ever since.

It was revealed that Sharon Carter’s lineage goes back further with her aunt being one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. Peggy Carter. However, she has yet to be seen since she helped with the escape of Cap, Bucky, and Falcon right before the infamous airport scene in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. She finally locked lips with Steve and disappeared into the shadows.

With the knowledge that over 60 characters would be featured in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, fans have had to be wondering whether or not she would turn up to help fight the good fight against the alien despot Thanos.

During a recent conversation with BUILD to promote her upcoming medical drama The Resident, VanCamp sort of alluded to the fact that her character may not show up amidst the carnage left in the wake of The Mad Titan.

“I mean listen, it’s hard to fit Sharon into that,” VanCamp told BUILD. “She’s really in Cap’s world, you know what I mean? So, I mean, I can’t say anything about anything, but I will say that you know she sort of fits into the Captain America movies, that’s where her sort of story lies, but I can tell you it’s going to be like an epic two-parter. From everything that I hear ya know, it’s going to be amazing, and the Russo Brothers are phenomenal. I mean they can do no wrong really, so I’m excited to see it.”

Sharon Carter is without a doubt one of the most welcome additions to the MCU and allows Captain Rogers a person with whom to grow a grounded connection with in the modern world. With these comments of uncertainty about the future of her character, it looks like fans won’t be seeing much of Agent 13 unless Cap survives the Infinity War and gets a fourth film.

What do you think? Are you disappointed by the posibility of Agent 13 sitting this one out? Let us know @SuperBroMovies!
