STEVE And DUSTIN’s Relationship Will Grow In ‘STRANGER THINGS’ Season 3

One of the best things to come out of Stranger Things Season 2 was the redeemed Steve Harrington. In the previous season, he played out as a minor villain, but this time, he was much more lighthearted and compassionate. While things didn’t end up well with Nancy, he stood out as a leader and a protecter of the younger characters. Out of this came the surprising relationship between he and Dustin. Fans will be happy hear that this bromance will grow even more in Season 3.

Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy explained that we’ll definitely “get some Steve/Dustin action” in Season 3. Gaten Matarazzo, the actor who plays Dustin, described how he wishes their relationship to be more familiar.

“In Season 2, it was all very cute and there was a funny factor to it because it was unexpected, but now that it is expected. I want to see them connect more and be more familiar with each other. I want them to have a connection like they’ve really had a connection for a year—like they’re brothers.”

Matarazzo then pointed out that Dustin doesn’t have a brother nor a father, so Steve is that older male figure he can look up to.

“He’s never had that, so I feel like Steve is definitely someone in that sense who could be that person to him.”

There was definitely a sense of brotherly love in Season 2, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of that in Season 3, as well as seeing Steve continue to evolve as a character.

Stranger Things Season 3 is expected to release in late 2018 or early 2019.
