Our first look at the live-action Pokemon movie is here, with set photos showing off props from the film’s setting.

The movie, being produced by Legendary Pictures and Lionsgate, will be based on the spin-off game Detective Pikachu, which itself is just releasing in Europe and North America this year. Filming is taking place in London, where production has just begun. The setting of the movie is called Ryme City, and you can watch it come to life in the first set photos in the gallery below.

The movie stars Ryan Reynolds himself as the titular Detective Pikachu, featuring Justice Smith as human trainer Tim and Kaythrn Newton as “hot-headed” journalist Lucy. Together, Tim and Detective Pikachu solve the mystery of Tim’s father’s disappearance and why captured Pokemon have begun turning on their trainers.

Directed by Rob Letterman (Goosebumps) and written by Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) and Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Detective Pikachu releases May 10, 2019.
