Even though we have a little over a month till the game’s release, the Sea of Thieves hype is starting. Today I received my preordered Sea of Thieves Xbox controller and I will be doing an unboxing and review article on the new Xbox Controller.
First off this is a really nice box with amazing artwork. The box is like other Xbox controller boxes but this one has the best artwork out of all of them. As for the controller itself, it is purple with greenish sprays with a little of black. The left stick has the cardinal directions of North, South, East, and West. I love this design though the West part kind of blends in with the controller making it sometimes hard to see if you aren’t paying attention. The other symbols are visible and are easy to see. The back of the controller has two unicorns skulls crossing giving it a real funny pirate symbol which I find as a nice touch to add something on the back of the controller.
The back of the controller has slight grips though I still prefer the grips on the Lunar White Controller which I wish this controller went with instead of the slight grips. The box button area isn’t indented on the controller and instead, there is a smooth transition from the rest of the controller to where the Xbox button is. They also gave the controller two different color triggers, one being gold and the other being dark purplish. Personally, this is really one of the best game theme Xbox One controller Microsoft has released and I would recommend you get one of these controllers. The controller has included a 14-day trial to Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass as what Xbox does most of the time. It also included an in-game DLC for Sea of Thieves which is Ferryman Clothing Set, which we at Arcade Corner will be giving away soon. The controller cost $74.99 US Dollars and is worth the price.
Sea of Thieves will be released on March 20th, 2018 on Xbox One and Windows.
