It was previously revealed that many of the contracts for the MCU’s biggest stars will be expiring after Avengers: Infinity War. One such actor being the god of thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth. While it was believed that the star’s contracts would be ending after Infinity War, Hemsworth has now revealed that he would be open to returning as the hero given the right circumstances.
During an interview with Australia’s Sunrise, the star revealed that the net two Avengers films are his last time playing Thor he is still open to return given the right script,
“Well, my contract’s coming to an end. We’ve just finished the last two Avengers. Who knows what the future holds. You know, we felt like we kind of reinvented that last one in a big way. It felt refreshed and re-energised. So, we might have a conversation if there’s another great script that comes along. But at the moment that’s it.”
So as of now it seems that this is the end for the fan favorite Avenger, but that doesn’t mean he will be gone forever. If someone is able to provide a script as great as Thor: Ragnarök we could once again see Hemsworth return as the god of thunder.
