News has come out from an Activision Blizzard conference call where we have learned of a big update coming to Destiny 2. A, what they call major, expansion to the came will be dropping later this without furthers details being released.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg had the following to say about Destiny 2 on the call.

“The sentiment is already starting to shift,We have a great expansion coming in May, and a major expansion coming at the end of the year, and those events have always been opportunities to re-engage our communities and win back people who have churned out. This is an incredibly passionate group of players and that passion is a good thing, even when the sentiment is critical, because it shows how deeply people care about the game, and we think that’s one of the things that makes this a great franchise, and we’re fully committed to listening to and communicating with our community more frequently and more transparently than ever and making the right changes to improve the experience and we think we have the right path forward.”

The unannounced expansion is supposed to be as big as Taken King was the first Destiny game. The expansion is supposedly in response to help curve player discount from the game as what they have been doing for past DLCs. The only expansion for Destiny 2 that we know about at the moment is Curse of Osiris which drops soon.
