One of the new additions in Solo: A Star Wars Story is the newly designed Millenium Falcon. By the time Han gets it from Lando, it looks very different than it does in A New Hope. Some newly released figures from Hasbro give us a great look at the sleek and clean Falcon, as well as some hidden secrets aboard the ship.
The toy, titled the Kessel Run Millenium Falcon, pretty much confirms Han Solo will be performing his famous Kessel Run in the movie.
“Press the button to pretend that the iconic starship kicks in to hyperdrive with lights and sounds. Press the button a second time for accelerated lights and sounds as well as activate the rumble pack vibrations! Push the button a third time to pretend that your ship picks up even more speed and watch the panels pop off before rumbling to the finish line.”
While it’s unlikely, the inclusion of the panels popping off could be something that happens in the movie during the Kessel Run. This could explain why the Millenium Falcon looks more beat down by the time we see it in A New Hope.
The toy includes the captain’s quarters and a storage room.
An Alden Ehrenreich inspired Han Solo also comes with the Falcon. He comes with cargo of some sort which probably contain spices from the mines of Kessel. Han’s shirt also resembles what Luke wears in Return of the Jedi.
The nose of the ship, which is noticeably different in the original trilogy, looks like it breaks off into a separate piece. It could be similar to the Ghost in Star Wars: Rebels which has a smaller ship of its own. This could explain why the piece is missing later on. Perhaps someone like Lando leaves with the extra ship or Han loses it somewhere.
The Kessel Run Millenium Falcon retails for $99. Will this be a new addition to your collection or will you pass on this new generation of the Millenium Falcon. Let us know on Twitter @SuperBroMovies. –Caleb Sadd
