In just this weekend alone Marvel Studios Black Panther has broken several records and has been met with nothing but praise from critics and audiences alike. So its fair to say that Marvel has yet another hit on their hands, which isn’t much of a surprise as they have consistently produced entertaining and quality films. A trend which Captain America himself, Chris Evans claims will continue with future Marvel productions, namely Black Widow and Captain Marvel.
Speaking with ET Canada recently, Evans was asked his thoughts on Black Panther where he brought up his faith in the other upcoming films,
“There’s nothing they can’t do man. I’m sure its going to have the exact same effect when Captain Marvel comes out and when the Black Widow movie comes out. Marvel just has the winning recipe, and they’re kind of one step ahead of everybody else.”
This is actually some of our first we have heard about the Black Widow film since it was revealed Marvel had contracted a writer for the script. So it is very exciting to see how much faith Evans has in the film along with Captain Marvel.
Further discussing Marvel and Black Panther Evans added,
“I mean just looking at them, and I was just looking at things this morning about these Black Panther openings around the country this weekend and its gonna crush. Its gonna crush! Marvel knows what they’re doing. They find great people. I just feel very humbled and lucky to be part of it.”
It is tough to believe that anything could compete with the success of Black Panther as it continues to soar past records. For now though we will have to wait and see if Evans’ prediction is correct.
Captain Marvel is prepared to be released next year while filming is still in progress. Meanwhile we haven’t heard much else of the Black Widow solo film so we should stay tuned for further updates.
