‘LUKE CAGE’ Season 2 Gets June Release Date and New Teaser Trailer

A new Luke Cage teaser just dropped online and it included a few shots of the indestructible Power Man and gave us a release date: June 22nd.

You can check the teaser out below:

The teaser includes Cage walking out of a burning wreckage of a truck, deflecting bullets,  smashing stuff, and overall looking cool while Cage, played by Mike Colter, voices over the teaser.

Little is known about the upcoming second season, but we do know production has already wrapped and the Iron Fist/Danny Rand (played by Finn Jones) will be joining the cast. Danny Rand appeared in his own series, Iron Fist and his team-up with Luke Cage makes sense, considering in the comics, they are a superhero duo: the Heroes for Hire. Set photos already surfaced of the two heroes as well.

The first season did relatively well critically, with 7-8/10 averages, with overall reception saying how the first half of the season was the strongest, with Cottonmouth’s presence, a villain played by Mahershala Ali. The series was also highly anticipated, with Netflix’s servers crashing the day the series dropped on Netflix.

Luke Cage season 2 hits Netflix June 22nd, 2018.

Luke Cage– This gritty, action-packed drama follows the evolution of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), a man with super strength and unbreakable skin caused by a sabotaged experiment. After a failed relationship with fellow superhero Jessica Jones, Cage tries to rebuild a quiet life in Harlem, New York –until he is pulled out of the shadows and forced into a battle for his city. Along the way, Cage cannot avoid confronting his past, which he has worked hard to bury. “Marvel’s Luke Cage” is the third show in the Netflix-original Defenders series.
