The countdown to Avengers: Infinity War begins. Entertainment Weekly is celebrating this the Avengers getting the band back together once again with a slew of cover posters and exclusive content. One of the biggest suit upgrades added to the film is Iron Man. The armor officially called Bleeding edge armor, is one of the many upgrades to an already impressive. Some of the upgrades include rocket thrusters in his arms and back to help Iron Man propel deep into space.
Black Panther may have some competition with suit upgrades. Tony is seen once again with the arc reactor on his chest but this time the arc reactor is the suit. In the the trailer we see the Iron Man’s suit form around his body, the same way Shuri did For Black Panther’s.
EW recently sat down with Robert Downey Jr. to talk about Iron Man’s team in Avengers: Infinity War
“I love how Cumberbatch just comes in and kind of draws flaming circles anywhere and can basically step into your movie. That’s fun. And we wanted to keep a little bit of the Science Bros thing alive, even though Ruffalo has been on such an amazing Banner/Hulk journey himself. I really, really, really enjoyed getting to know and work with and play around with Benedict as Strange. Benedict Wong also, by the way is fantastic I think Marvel is smart (Peter/Tony storyline) So let’s keep them at close quarters as long as we can. Someone under your tutelage is now firing on all cylinders, but you’re responsible for bringing them into deeper water. We knew that would be fruitful.”
RDJ also gives also explains his on again off agains relationship with Pepper Potts.
“It was hard to thread Pepper through every story that Tony was in, so we took opportunities to say, “We’re taking a break, and it’s my fault.” Now, he and Pepper have kind of locked it up. Pepper remains the heart of the Iron Man story. I think we wanted to get back to that reality. Not just for them, but let’s really see how that can add to the something-worth-fighting-for of it all.”
Thanos is the Avengers toughest challenge yet. Every Marvel’s Cinematic Universe movie has managed to save the world and capture the main antagonist, but RDJ says this time it’s different. Thanos is the Avengers toughest challenge yet.
“Believe me, I’m tired of every movie, you know, “It’s the end! It’s Armageddon! It’s the Be All, End All, Forever!” And then it’s … not. This one actually is. They’re not kidding. This is a heads-will-roll scenario.”
Looks like Thanos isn’t playing around. I for one hope Iron Man will be able to ride into the sunset with Pepper Potts by his side.
