In the past couple of days, various low-quality images hit the web from the production of Shazam!. The pictures gave us our first look at the superhero’s suit, but they didn’t do the design justice. A new set photo, however, does a much better job of letting you get a feel for what direction they are going for with the film.

Thanks to the Instagram account seansmovies, we have a pretty solid look at the costume Zachary Levi will be sporting. Although it’s zoomed out, the image still gives us a better look at the suit and shows the amount of detail they’ve put into it. Take a look.

I must admit, I had my reservations about the design after the very first image of it appeared online, but this image has me excited. From the bolt to the wrist armor, it looks absolutely fantastic. It’s a great meld of multiple versions of the suit from the comics, although it looks like the New 52 design is the main inspiration.

Any day now we’ll finally be getting an official image of the suit (c’mon WB). Until then, this should keep fans content and should get people even more excited for the film next year. What do you guys think?

Shazam! hits theaters April 5, 2019

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
