‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ Getting A Sequel Ubisoft Confirms

After two years it looks like Ubisoft’s The Division will indeed be getting a sequel. The news first leaked on a German Business website but was later confirmed by Ubisoft during a live stream. News for the game was already teased a day before on the game’s official Twitter.

Ubisoft’s Creative Director Julian Gerighty made the following statement about the sequel.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but there are so many stories and so many experiences that we wanted to explore within the world of The Division that we felt a sequel was the best way to explore these things,”

The game’s director Mathias Karlson also made a comment.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to take all of that learning, all of that experience from what The Division is today and put it into a new game.”

More news was announced to come at E3 this year so we do not have a release date or any other details. The sequel seems to be a hard decision for the company to green-light but it seems they have something they must want to work on. We will be at E3 this year so we will report on more details on the game when we can.
